This website is run by AMBA Accounting, Marketing & Business Advisory Limited ("AMBA", "we", "us"), registered in England and Wales, company number 16164790. Registered office: Innovation Centre, Maidstone Road, Chatham, Kent ME5 9FD.

What we collect and why
When you ask for the guide
If you enter your email address to get our guide, we collect that email address. We use it to add you to our mailing list, which we manage with Mailchimp. We may send you occasional emails about finance in the care sector and how AMBA can help. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
When you book a call
If you book a call, you do so through Calendly. We receive the details you give when booking, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name and your answers to our booking questions. We use them to prepare for and hold the call, and to follow up afterwards. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
When you email or phone us
If you contact us directly, we keep what you send us so we can reply and keep a record of our conversation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
When you become a client
If you become a client, we handle your business's information under the terms of our engagement letter, which explains what we collect and how we use it.
When you visit the website
Our website host keeps basic technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. The website itself does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services we use to run the website and the business:
- Netlify, which hosts this website
- Mailchimp (Intuit), which manages our mailing list
- Calendly, which manages call bookings
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typeface on this website. Your browser connects to Google to load it, which shares your IP address with Google.
- Our professional advisers, and anyone we are required to share it with by law
Some of these providers store information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they use legally recognised safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK-US data bridge.
How long we keep it
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only what is needed to make sure we don't email you again
- Enquiries and booking details: two years from our last contact if you do not become a client
- Client records: as set out in our engagement letter, and as required by law
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or move it to another organisation. You can object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on consent. To do any of these, email office@ambaaccounting.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
